Twin Process Filtration Vertical Leaf Filter Horizontal Tank (VLH) is a pressure filter that consists of a horizontal tank with vertically positioned filter leafs.
Vertical filter leafs filter on both sides, offering a large filtration area in a relatively small vessel. The Twin Process Filtration Vertical Leaf filters can be used for a variety of applications. It can be applied for either primary filtrations involving relatively large high solid contents or for polishing filtration operations with a low solid load. Vertical Leaf Filters are suitable for wet or dry cake discharge.
Wet cake discharge filter models include a high pressure jet traveling through the full length of the filter leaf bundle and removing the filter cake on each filter leaf as its passes. The slurry is discharged through a large oversized drain .
In the dry cake discharge filter models the filter is equipped with a pneumatic vibrator. The filter tank is retracted and the filter leafs are exposing. By actuating the vibrator, the filter cake drops in a bin underneath the filter. The systems are executed with a quick opening closure. The filter cake can be dried by compressed air, inert gas or steam before the cake is discharged by the vibrator.
Vertical Leaf filters can be utilized for manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic operation
